Poem that inspires me

Not by Erin Hanson You are not your age, Nor the size of clothes you wear, You are not a weight, Or the color of your hair. You are not your name, Or the dimples in your cheeks, You are all the books you read, And all the words you speak. You are your croaky morning voice, And the smiles you try to hide, You’re the sweetness in your laughter, And every tear you’ve cried, You’re the songs you sing so loudly, When you know you’re all alone. You’re the places that you’ve been to, And the one that you call home, You’re the things that you believe in, And the people that you love, You’re the photos in your bedroom, And the future you dream of, You’re made of so much beauty, But it seems that you forgot, When you decided that you were defined, By all the things you’re not.   As a teenager sometimes is hard to stand on your own way, when there are so many distractions around you. For me, this poetry reminds me that we have to focus on things that matter. To love our self based on o...

The History Of Love

I love a good story, thus among the things that I really passionate about are books, movies, poems and songs.  I've read many books, watched lots of movies and listened zillion of songs. Many of them inspired me, enhanced my knowledge and widen my perspectives. One of the book that I considered as one of the best book ever written is "The History of Love" by Nicole Krauss. My mother recommended this book and lent me hers. She told me that if I want to know how meaningful a first love should be then read this book. I haven't experienced first love though maybe that's why she wanted me to read it. so I can be more thoughtful and give love a more meaningful feeling.  The History of Love: A Novel  is the 2005 novel by the American writer Nicole Krauss. The book was a  2006 finalist for the   Orange Prize for Fiction  and won the 2008  William Saroyan International Prize for Writing  for fiction. Hi

Hello. I'm Sarah. Most people will do self-introduction on their first blog post. I've been thinking that I should too. but honestly, I'm not really comfortable in expossing myself online :D  In fact, I made this blog as an assignment from my IT teacher. Hi, Bu Kia :) I am introvert yet I considered myself quite a good public speaker. I love to perform speech on many topics. I love how a good speech could influence others. I love to share and discuss good idea. I love storytelling too. I love how a story we delivered could inspire and touch others. On that note, I will introduce myself not by telling you who I am. But share a story of things I like and got inspired by. Get to know me little by little as our conversation continues.
